Solve 30180 error for Symbian S60 v5
Connection error with Nokia 5800 or N97 with the Google Maps application.
Some of us, including myself, cannot use the Google Maps or YouTube applications and cannot check for updates using FOTA for Nokia 5800 and N97.
The reason for this problem is that your device has selected an internet connection for itself as default and if it could not connect via that specific connection for any reason when an application requires a connection or when updating the device it just gives a cryptic error message.
To fix the problem follow the steps below:
1. Enter the menu
2. Go to Settings => Connectivity => Destinations => Options => Default Connection
3. Choose Internet
You will see that there is a little check ticked near the Internet access point option. This means that your default connection is now one of the available Internet destinations.
Your problem should now be solved.
