About the Club

The HHLinuxClub aims to promote the use of Linux and other open source solutions, particularly among the students and faculty of Haaga-Helia.

At the club we have events ranging from LAN parties to conferences in order to publicize open source to the university, and to the world in general. We can also provide assistance with individual Linux installations or other issues with open source software.

Technical Details

This web site runs on a custom CMS called Eish! built by Joao Cardoso and Matias Korhonen using the Ruby on Rails framework. It is the result of about six months of work, and is fully open source. It relies on several open source components, and such rapid development would have not been possible if these components were not available for use.

For more details on the Eish! project, please see our Git repositories on GitHub, and our bug tracker on Lighthouse:

A more detailed description of the web application and server is in progress.
